What is it?

Winner of the IDFA Interactive Grant and developed in collaboration with the amazing digital storytellers at Anagram, W/O/R/K is a playful piece commenting on our intimacy with – and our dependency on – our smartphones. It engages the audience to interact with each other, with and without their phones.

It works great as a kick-off experience for the day or a refresher in the middle of other talks during festivals, events or conferences.

How does it work?

  1. Our live presenter, backed up by a looping video animation, guides the audience to a secure website via their mobile browsers.
  2. Once the collective is ready, a musical composition plays from the phones accompanied by a voiceover and subtitles.
  3. The voice comments on our digital age and gives simple instructions to engage the audience, leading to an a cappella crescendo.
